Q. - How do I become a member?
A. - Any senior 50+ years of age, and able to function on their own, is welcome to join the Springfield Senior Center and participate in all activities, programs, and trips.

Q. - Are there charges for participating in the Center's activities"
A. - Generally most activities and classes are free. Some classes may require participant to pay for supplies, e.g., cost of book for computer classes, jewelry classes.

Q. - What are the hours of operation of the center?
A. - Springfield Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Q. - Do you have computers available for drop-in use?
A. - Yes, our computer lab is open during the Center's regular hours for use by any "Active Member" providing the room is not in use for a program.

Q. - Are pets allowed at the Springfield Senior Center.
A. - Due to the Town Ordinance, pets are not allowed at the Springfield Senior Center.

Q. - Do you have a meal site at the Senior Center?
A. - No, we do not have a meal site. We have programs running from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The meal site is located on Union Street in Springfield.

Q. - Can I leave my mother/father at the Center for the day while I work?
A. - We are sorry, but we do not have services of this kind. Contact the Council on Aging for help with aging parents.

Q. - Can anyone go on your trips?
A. - Anyone 21 years of age and over if there is room after Active Members have signed up.

Q. - What is an ACTIVE Member?
A. - To be an ACTIVE member you must participate in programs at the Senior Center twice month for three consecutive months. ACTIVE members receive discounts on trips.

Q. - Do you have transportation for people to get to the Senior Center?
A. - We are sorry but we do not have a van at our center. You can call Connecticut River Transit to see if they can meet your needs or the Town Taxi.
